FISCAL NEEDS OF THE ORPHANAGE

More than a decade back it would not have been possible to think of the all round development Darul Yathama has made in the areas of infrastructure, improvement in education, health and hygiene, nutrition and a lot more. It sounds incredible that without sufficient funds on hand this orphanage started taking-up works on prioritized basis like renovating the then existing boys’ old building, demolition and construction of girls’ new hostel, construction of G+5 Hasnath Complex by securing the area from its stubborn tenants and leasing out a piece of land to the Focus Primary School on a long lease, in addition to giving quality education to our boys and girls. All these purely from the charities and donations of our well wishers and to some extend from the rents of its buildings etc. Darul Yathama has no corpus fund or trust of any kind as a dependable source of income. Alhamdollilah the donors contributions are major component not only in the development works but also in day-to-day running of this orphanage. It has been the only source of income which has sustained Darul Yathama for over 90 years and helped in moving it from strength to strength. The phenomenal development especially during the last 10 to 12 years has to be seen to be believed.



ASSETS OF DARUL YATHAMA

Behamdolilla, Darul Yathama has two buildings namely Hasnath Complex and Focus Primary School which form the assets of this orphanage. The Hasnath Complex G+3 floors were built with the help of donations and Darul Yathma funds. While the adjacent area of about 704 square yards belonging to Darul Yathama was vacant. After series of discussions it was given to Focus High School on long lease of 40 years for constructing a building for establishing Focus School, with their own funds. Consequently they constructed the school building after which a rental value has been fixed at 50 percent of prevailing market rate. The School started functioning from June 2017.



NEED FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS

1. The existing Hasnath Complex has G+3 floors which has been planned to increase to G+5 floors with sole of intention of augmenting the monthly rental income. This work on the additional 2 floors is in the final phase of completion and insha Allah would add six more apartments to the existing nine apartments. It is likely to increase the rents by about Rupees One Lakh per month.

2. Darul Yathama is also involved in a court case seeking eviction of one illegal occupant of a house which was donated by a deceased owner way back in 1978. We require funds for payment of legal charges of about Rupees 1 lakh. If the case is won in our favour it will yield an additional income.

This orphanage is in need about Rupees 25 lakhs to complete the works. We appeal all the philanthropic momin brothers to come forward and contribute generously in this noble cause. Pray for Allah’s rewards in both the worlds through the intercession of the holiest Fourteen (as).
